SUSTAINABLE SOURCING POLICY

AT KRA Visionary, we are driven by our unwavering commitment to always doing the right thing for our clients, employees, communities, and planet. We are committed to improving the social impact we have as a business and strive for sustainability across every function, including sourcing and procurement.

In accordance with our commitment to the highest standards, we also expect our suppliers to aspire to the same standards in their business operations.

This policy will act as a guideline to the standards upon which KRA Visionary will meet its needs for goods, services and works in a manner that achieves value for money and generates benefits to the economy, society, and the environment. The sustainable procurement policy will be commissioned by the year 2023. This policy acts to promote accountability across the supply chain of KRA operations.

FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLES

This policy is focused on upholding the United Nations Guiding principles on Businesses and Human Rights which aim to uphold human rights through the slogan “protect, respect and remedy.” These principles act as a foundation from which KRA Renewables will realize its sustainable and responsible business goals.

KRA Visionary will aim to ensure compliance to this policy across its extended supply chain. As such all stakeholders within the supply chain commit that:

  • Their business complies with the laws of the land while promoting integrity and ensuring quality of product/service.

  • There exist procedures in place that prohibit bribery, corruption, embezzlement, and extortion.

  • All information obtained from KRA Visionary will be used legitimately and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Work is conducted by the stakeholder on behalf of KRA Visionary is done based on freely agreed and documented terms of employment.

  • All workers are treated equally and with respect and dignity.

  • Work is conducted on a voluntary basis by workers of an appropriate age.

  • All workers are free to exercise their right to form and or join trade unions or to refrain from doing so and to bargain collectively.

  • All workers’ health and safety are protected at work and have access to fair procedures and remedies.

  • Business is conducted in a manner which embraces sustainability and aims to reduce their environmental impact to comply with our sustainability policy.

As such, in the event a stakeholder realizes failure of compliance on their part, this failure should be reported to KRA Visionary as soon as possible. Any issues and concerns raised appertaining to this policy will be investigated and, in the event, where remediation is required, the relevant stakeholder will be asked to advice on the corrective actions to be taken and a timeline of the same if applicable.

This policy is set by the Directors of KRA Visionary, with the aim of addressing, to the best of our ability, the complex challenges presented by climate change.
